Neighbors,

I received the following notice by e-mail, and I post it here for your information:

March 11, 2009

Dear Propery Owner/Resident/Citizen:

The City of Bloomington is excited to inform you of an upcoming opportunity to view and provide comment on our efforts over the past few months working on the schematic design of the Walnut Street Streetscape.

As you are aware from previous notifications and meetings (June 18, 2008 Open House), we retained the design services of Cornerstone Planning & Design Inc. and specifically, those of Deb Schmucker, RLA, ASLA. Deb's extensive work with the City of Bloomington includes the B-Line Trail, a project nearing completion that will transform and enhance the vibrancy of our downtown.

Ms. Schmucker recently completed the preliminary site plan design for the current project. This work includes schematic design, cross section views, and an artist's rendering of the proposed project. Also included are photographs of various site elements such as street lights, benches, and tree grates.

On Thursday, March 26th, we will have a project open house where all of these items will be available for viewing and comment. Everyone is invited to drop in and provide input and suggestions to our consultant and city staff. The open house will be held between the hours of 11:30am - 1:30pm and 4:30pm - 6:30pm at the Adult Community Center located at 349 South Walnut Street.

If you have any questions during this project, please contact me at your earliest opportunity and we can work together to make this project a success for everyone.

Thanks,

Justin D. Wykoff

Upcoming project that caused line locating to occur on Montclair

I inquired to the city about all the line locating... the following is their response:

Mr. Wilcox,
Thank you for visiting the City's website. I am sorry it took awhile to get back to you but I was checking around with various City departments to see if anyone was doing a project in this area. According to the line locates called in for this area AT&T will be doing service line work for a couple of lots. The contractor stated they would not have to cut in the street but would be boring underground in the frontyards of the lots. As part of line location, the utility companies have to mark so far out from the actual site.
Please contact the City Engineering Department at 349-3417 if you see any problems or concerns and we can send someone out to take a look at the situation.
Thank you.

Renwick phase 2 paired patio homes - Springhouse Ridge‏

I wanted to share this email with the group:

Renwick phase 2 paired patio homes - Springhouse Ridge‏

Dear Renwick Select Member,

W/S Homes, Inc. is thrilled to announce we have started 2009 off with a bang. This year we have officially begun the site work for a 2nd phase of paired patio homes in Renwick. It will be called Springhouse Ridge and we expect it to be an even bigger success than our first phase of paired patio homes we built in Renwick, Cameron Row (which is down to its last few units). Springhouse Ridge is surrounded by a portion of Renwick’s tree preservation area and 2 different parks. It is in our opinion the prettiest section of the entire Renwick development. We have 32 homesites available, with half of those being suitable for a walkout basement. Springhouse Ridge is about a 3 minute walk to the Renwick Village Center which is 2/3 of the way completed, and already has its first tenant open for business.

As a Renwick Select member, you are the first to hear this news! You are also first to get the opportunity to meet with us to learn more about this next phase of paired patio homes. We are currently setting up individual meetings with Renwick Select members who are interested in learning more. The point of these meetings is to give you more information about Springhouse Ridge, and the most up to date information on all the exciting things happening in Renwick. In addition to all that, we want your feedback on the different options we will offer at Springhouse Ridge. Come tell us what things are important to you in a new home. We also plan begin the lot reservation process in Springhouse Ridge in these meetings for those who are ready, so please contact me at your earliest convenience if you would be interested in sitting down to learn more about Springhouse Ridge at Renwick. Meeting times and lot availability will be strictly on a first come, first served basis.

As always, if there are any questions we can answer for you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
Aaron Stolberg
